Description

Breathwork is a powerful way to access your body’s innate intelligence to heal itself. Breathwork, the conscious awareness of your breath, is a practice that is thousands of years old, and while there are many variations, styles, and names, all types of breathwork offer the chance for personal transformation through improved mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Our breath, or prana, is literally what keeps us alive, and yet, so often, we go through the day chronically shallow breathing, denying ourselves our full life force which often keeps us in a state of anxiety, or fight or flight. Breathwork, or the process of deep rhythmic breathing, moves us out of fight or flight and into the parasympathetic nervous system.
It is said that how we breathe is how we live, so to live life to its fullest, we believe we should breathe to our fullest. Breathwork bridges ancient wisdom with modern science to help you unlock your full potential.
Every night we charge our cell phones but how do we recharge the mind? The secret is our breath. “Prana” refers to the universal life force and “Ayama” means to regulate, stretch, extend, or lengthen. So, pranayama is the extension and expansion of all our vital energy. Pranayamas are yogic breathing exercises that have the ability to improve our health and increase mental clarity and energy.

Our breath can be used to create space for clarity and a relaxed mind. By helping to reduce stress and anxiety we are able to sleep better, feel better about ourselves and let go of suppressed emotions, unhealthy patterns of behavior, and past hurts. Going deep with the breath can help us clear past trauma and emotional baggage.
Breath detoxifies, releases toxins, and strengthens the immune system:
Around 70% of our toxins are released from our bodies through our breath. Carbon dioxide is a natural waste product of your body’s metabolism. Breathing deeply helps the systems in the body to process this more efficiently.
Breath helps open up to higher awareness:
A regular breathing practice creates peace and expands our awareness inside. It allows us to create a deeper connection with ourselves and our inner wisdom. We can increase our creativity and inspiration and it deepens yoga and meditation practice.
Breath strengthens the lymphatic system:
The lymphatic system depends on gravity, muscle movement, and breathing to keep flowing so that the body can be cleansed. Deep breathing can play an important role in protecting the body from bacteria, viruses, and other threats to our health.
Improve Sleep and calms the nervous system:
Deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing us into a relaxed state. It functions in the opposite way to the sympathetic nervous system, which stimulates activities associated with the fight or flight response. The quality of our breath helps to relax the mind and enhance the ability to learn, focus, concentrate and memorize. The brain requires a great deal of oxygen to function and an increased intake of oxygen helps us to achieve clarity, and feel grounded and productive. It also relieves stress, anxiety, depression, and negative thought patterns. Breathing properly can help us overcome addictive patterns of behavior and eating disorders as well as ignite creativity and passion.
Release Trauma and Fear Stuck In The Body
Help Reduce Pain and releases muscle tension:
When we are stressed or experience uncomfortable feelings such as anger or pain, our breath becomes shallow and our muscle tissues contract. Deep breathing helps to release this.

In addition, deeper breathing results in a calmer nervous system which in turn enhances optimum digestion.
